CHICKPEA BEAN BALL RECIPE. VEGAN AND GLUTEN FREE.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 160g or chickpeas. (from can or pre soaked)

  • 2-3 mushrooms

  • 160g of black beans. (from can or pre soaked)

    • 1 tbs of nutritional yeast

    • 1/2 tsp of fennel seeds

    • 1 tsp chili powder

    • 1 tsp of onion powder

    • 1 tsp steak seasoning

    • 1 clove of garlic

    • 1/2 tsp of paprika

Serving: 12-14 balls Prep time: 20 min Cook time: 30 min

For this recipe, you will need a food processor to pulsate the ingredients all together. For the love of god DO NOT use a blender (I’ve learnt this lesson the hard way.). The texture of the balls should be moist (from the water released from the mushrooms) but contain small chunks of your ingredients.

I also recommend adding all dry seasoning ingredients together and mixing separate before adding; to ensure an even flavour coating.

Form balls into appx 4 cm/ 1 inch * diameter sizes and place on your prepped cooking sheet in staggering positions.

Bake at 190 C /375 F for 15 min per side.

Serve warm and enjoy!
